Why BillCycle
Billing deserves its own system, not a module.
All-in-one systems put most of their effort into the clinical side. BillCycle does one job: getting your practice paid in full, on time, with less rework.
- Works with the EHR you already use
- AI checks every claim before it goes out
- Your billers stay in control

The problem
Why billing inside your EHR falls short
EHR vendors build for the exam room first. Billing gets whatever is left on the roadmap.
Denials found too late
Most built-in tools flag a problem only after the payer rejects the claim. By then you have lost weeks of cash flow.
Work queues without priorities
Every open claim looks the same. Your team works oldest first, not highest value or closest to the filing deadline.
Underpayments go unnoticed
Payments post without a check against your contracted rates. Small shortfalls add up across thousands of claims.
Reports that explain the past
You can see what went wrong last month. You cannot see what to fix on the claims going out today.
Side by side
Built-in billing vs a dedicated billing system
Both send claims. Only one is designed around collecting every dollar you earned.
| Billing built into your EHR | BillCycle | |
|---|---|---|
| Main focus | Clinical charting first | Billing and collections only |
| Denial prevention | Basic edits after submission | AI predicts denials before submission |
| Denial follow-up | Manual sorting by staff | Grouped by root cause with a suggested fix |
| Appeals | Written from scratch | AI drafts letters for biller review |
| AR follow-up | Sorted by age | Ranked by value and timely-filing risk |
| Underpayments | Rarely flagged | Checked against contracted rates at posting |
| Changing systems | Replace your EHR to change billing | Keep your EHR, switch only billing |
Focus
One job, done thoroughly
BillCycle has no scheduling, no charting and no patient intake. Every screen exists to move a charge to cash. That focus is why the billing work goes deeper than an add-on can.
Charge to cash in one place
Charge import, scrubbing, claims, denials, AR, posting and patient billing share one record.
Built by people who bill
Workflows follow how billing teams actually work, written in plain language, not system jargon.
Updates aimed at collections
Product work goes to payer rules, denial patterns and AR follow-up, not clinical features.
AI with oversight
AI handles the checks. Your billers decide.
BillCycle uses AI where billing teams lose the most time: catching errors, sorting denials and choosing what to work next. Every suggestion shows its reason, and a person approves the action.
Denial prediction
Each claim is checked before submission, with the likely denial reason and the fix.
Root-cause grouping
Denials are classified by cause so you fix the pattern, not one claim at a time.
Appeal drafts
AI writes the first draft of each appeal. Your biller edits and sends it.
No rip and replace
Keep your EHR. Upgrade your billing.
Changing your EHR means retraining clinicians and moving years of charts. Changing your billing does not.
Clinicians keep their workflow
Providers chart in the same EHR. Nothing changes in the exam room.
Connects by API, HL7 or file feed
BillCycle pulls charges and demographics from your current system, whichever it is.
A contained change
Only the billing team learns a new system. The rest of the practice keeps working as is.

FAQ
Questions about choosing BillCycle
Do we have to stop using our EHR?
No. BillCycle is a billing system only. Your providers keep charting in your current EHR, and BillCycle takes over the billing work.
Is BillCycle a practice management system?
No. It does not handle scheduling, patient registration or clinical records. It covers everything from charge import to patient payment.
Why not just use the billing module we already pay for?
Built-in billing usually finds problems after a claim is denied. BillCycle checks claims before they go out, ranks AR by value and flags underpayments at posting.
Does the AI submit claims or appeals on its own?
No. AI suggests fixes, sorts work and drafts appeals. Your billers review and approve every action.
Will BillCycle work with our EHR?
BillCycle connects through API, HL7 or file feeds. Tell us your system and we will confirm the connection method during your demo.
