The numbers that matter
Key billing measures on one screen
The dashboard opens with the measures most practices track, defined the same way every month.
Collections
What you billed, what you collected and how that compares to the same period last month and last year.
Clean claim rate
The share of claims accepted on first submission, by payer, so you can see where checks need tightening.
Denial rate
Denials as a share of claims, broken down by root cause and payer.
Days in AR
How long it takes to get paid on average, and which payers are pulling the number up.
AR aging
Open balances by age bucket, split between insurance and patient responsibility.
Underpayments
Payments below contracted rates, totaled by payer and code.
Denial analytics
Find the cause behind repeat denials
A denial report is useful when it tells you what to change. BillCycle groups denials by root cause, payer and code, so you can fix the process that keeps producing them.
By root cause
See whether eligibility, authorization, coding or filing issues cost you the most.
By payer and code
Spot a payer that keeps denying one procedure, and take it up with that payer.
Recovered vs written off
Track how many denied dollars your team won back on appeal.
Last 30 days 103 denials · $69.1K
AR visibility
Know which balances are at risk this week
BillCycle shows AR aging alongside a ranked list of the claims most likely to be lost, based on dollar value and timely filing limits.
Aging by payer

FAQ
Questions about reporting
How current are the numbers?
Reports read from the same records your team works in, so they reflect claims, denials and payments as they are recorded in BillCycle.
Can I see the claims behind a number?
Yes. Click any total on a dashboard or report to open the list of claims that make it up.
Can reports be emailed on a schedule?
Yes. Any standard report can be scheduled to go to the people you choose, such as a weekly AR summary to the practice owner.
Can we export data to Excel or our own tools?
Yes. Reports export to [Excel and CSV]. [Confirm whether a data export or API for BI tools is available at launch.]
Who can see financial reports?
Access is set by role. For example, billers can see their queues while only owners and managers see practice-wide financials.
